Zack Etter, a 2014 graduate of the University of Connecticut, begins his first full year on the Blue Hen football staff as offensive quality control assistant.
In his role as quality control assistant, Etter will work on the offensive side of the ball while overseeing film breakdown and other duties with the coaching staff. He works closely with defensive quality control coach Joshua Lott.
Lott and Etter both joined the UD coaching staff in the spring of 2015.
Etter was a standout player as a wide receiver at Southington High School before attending Connecticut, where he earned his degree in psychology in 2014.
While at UConn, he began his coaching career at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, Conn. He coached wide receivers during the 2011 season and served as assistant offensive coordinator during the 2012 campaign.
He worked with the UConn staff as an offensive student assistant during the 2013 season for interim head coach T.J. Weist and then moved on to NCAA FCS entry Fordham for the 2014 season under head coach Joe Moorhead.
While at Fordham, he served as quality control assistant and worked with the special teams and cornerbacks while helping the Rams (11-3) win the Patriot League title and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Etter is also on the staff that runs the annual Connecticut Nike Coach of the Year Clinic.
