Played four sports - football, wrestling, baseball, and track & field at Wilde Lake High School • played football for head coach Mike Harrison • two-year starter at linebacker and offensive line in football and played varsity as a sophomore • member of team that went 11-3 and won state title in 2010 • earned all-county honors at offensive guard as a senior • earned National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award • played junior varsity baseball for two years • two-year standout in wrestling • team placed sixth in the state his senior year and was 10th in the state his junior year • individually, placed fifth in the county as a senior • threw shot put and discus for two years in track & field • honor roll student • earned Wilde Lake HS Unsung Hero Award.
