Rice joined the Fightin’ Blue Hens in August 2026 and will work with the coaching staff as the director of skill development.
Rice comes to Newark after spending two seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite club program as a coach. She played collegiately at Robert Morris University appearing in 126 career games on the Colonials’ blue line. Rice finished with four goals and nine assists for 13 career points while helping lead RMU to three CHA title game appearances, including winning the championship in 2021 and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
The Invermere, British Columbia native received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Robert Morris in December 2021 and earned her master’s degree in information technology in March 2024.
