Pete Stevens was promoted to Associate Director of Equipment Operations in July 2026 after serving as an assistant equipment manager since 2016. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, field hockey, and softball programs. In this role Stevens oversees the budgeting, ordering, uniform design, fitting, maintenance and laundry services for his assigned sports. He also helps to oversee the student manager program for the equipment department.
Prior to his hiring, Stevens, a proud Delaware native, served in a number of roles as a student at the University of Delaware. Working in football operations under Jerry Oravtitz, as a student equipment manager, and as women’s basketball student manager, Stevens was able to learn about multiple facets of working in an college athletic department that has proved valuable in his full-time role. He earned his degree in History in 2015.
Pete resides in Wilmington with his wife Catilin, and son Spencer.
