Made her season debut at Spider Alumni Open (Sept. 2) and ran the 4K course in a personal-best time of 16:12.5 (87th overall)
Ran at Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational and posted a time new PR time of 25:23.3 (63rd overall)
Posted a time of 25:25.7 that was good enough for 25th overall at the Delaware Invitational (Oct. 13)
Finished the 2023 CAA Championship 6K race (Oct. 27) with a time of 24:29.6 (87th overall)
Ran a career-best time of 24:29.6 at the 2023 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional (Nov. 10)

2022 SEASON

Kicked off 2022 season at the Goldey Beacom Fall Classic, finishing with a time of 21:34.8
Competed in the Delaware Invitational, finishing 19th with a time of 26:50.84

Competed in one race for the Blue Hens
Made her collegiate debut at the Towson Invitational, completing the 4K course in a time of 16:36.20 to claim 20th place

Bio: Hannah Lynn Smalley... Born on February 28, 2003... Daughter of Linda Umpleby and John Smalley (dad) has two siblings, James and Sarah... Majoring in Pre-Veterinary and has the career objective of becoming a veterinarian... Four-year member of East Islip cross country and track and field squad... Served as team captain of the cross country team for three years and one year for the track and field program... Two-time All-County selection... Three-time All-League and All-Division honoree... School record holder in the 800m run, 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay... Member of the High Honor Roll, National Honor Society, Science Honor Society and All-County Academic
