Brendan Thomas joined the University of Delaware Communications and Creative Services department in September 2021. He serves as the primary media contact for Delaware’s football and softball programs.
Thomas spent eight years at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he was an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications. He worked with a variety of sports while at Georgetown, including football, baseball, swimming & diving, women’s golf, volleyball, men’s and women’s rowing and men’s basketball (secondary).
Prior to arriving at Georgetown, Thomas spent two years as a Sports Information Assistant at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. where he served as the primary contact for volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball, men's lacrosse, men's tennis, women's water polo and men's and women's crew. He worked with the Marist women's basketball team that advanced to two consecutive NCAA Tournaments in 2012 and 2013, including the second round in 2012 after upsetting fourth-seeded Georgia.
Thomas received his Bachelor's degree in marketing with a communications minor from Loyola University Maryland in 2011. He earned a master’s degree from the Sports Industry Management at Georgetown University in 2021.
Originally from Maine, he lives with his wife, Meg, and daughter, Riley.
