Carson Turner

Defensive Analyst

Carson Turner joined the Delaware football staff in July 2025 as a defensive analyst. He is working with the defensive line.

Turner was part of the 2025 Fightin' Blue Hens' staff that oversaw the transition to the FBS and won the 68 Ventures Bowl in Delaware's first-FBS season to become just the second first-year FBS program to win a bowl game.

Turner joins the Fightin' Blue Hens after spending the last seven years at Christopher Newport, five as a player and two as the defensive line coach.

The Leesburg, Va. native appeared in 29 career games as a linebacker and defensive lineman for the Captains from 2019-23, totaling 67 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, and four sacks. Following his collegiate playing career, Turner worked a summer with former NFL veteran and personal trainer, Logan Paulson, as a personal trainer working specifically with offensive and defensive linemen.

After the summer in personal training, Turner returned to his alma mater as the defensive line coach, a role he has held for the previous two seasons as the team went 14-7.
