Jesse Judy is the first head coach of University of Delaware CROSSFIT, launching the new program for the fall semester of 2017.
Returning to his alma mater after 15 years of coaching at the collegiate level, Judy began his career as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Blue Hens in 1999.
Following his initial stint with Delaware, Judy was a graduate assistant at the University of Oregon, working with the Ducks while earning his master’s degree in sports medicine in 2005. After two years as an assistant coach, Judy became the director of strength and conditioning at Delaware's Colonial Athletic Association rival, Towson University, in 2007, and served there for 10 years. He most recently coached CROSSFIT Petram in Newark, Del.
He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified club coach with USA Weightlifting, and is a CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Holder.
Judy graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in exercise science with a concentration in strength and conditioning in 1999. He is married to Jennifer Judy, a Delaware alum and current UD senior associate athletic director for student services & sport administration and senior woman administrator.
The couple has a daughter, Katelyn, and a son, Jackson.
