University of Delaware Men's Tennis Sweeps Lafayette, 5-0

At the Winning Touch Tennis Center in Allentown, Pa., Troy Beneck improved to 14-5 in top-flight singles action with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Brandon Goldstein.
With a 6-2, 6-3 win against Scott Gelbman, Adam Lawton (at right) picked up his second straight victory in the No. 2 spot to improve to 10-2 on the season in the flight.
Nolan Gelman defeated Gavin Studner by a score of 6-2, 6-0 in the third flight while Evan Andrews wrapped up singles action with a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Chriss Matturri.
In the lone doubles match of the afternoon, Jason Derene and Mike Furr teamed up to take a 6-3, 6-3 win against Jake Lazer and Brian Stefanowicz.
With the win, the Blue Hens improve to 3-5 overall on the year while Lafayette drops to 2-4 for the season.
Delaware returns to the court Sunday as the Hens host Mount St. Mary's at the Elkton Indoor Courts at 6 p.m. This match was originally scheduled for Monday, March 25 but was moved up due to weather and scheduling issues.
