Troy Beneck Named Colonial Athletic Association Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Beneck posted a pair of wins at No. 1 singles in the Blue Hens' victories over Lafayette and Mount St. Mary's last week. He defeated Lafayette's Brandon Goldstein, 6-4, 6-2 and the Mount's Matt Blake by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
For the season, Beneck is 15-5 in the No. 1 singles slot and 17-7 overall in singles action for Delaware (4-5). Beneck is two wins away from his 50th career singles win.
William & Mary's Aaron Chaffee and Anton Andersson earned CAA Men's Doubles Team of the Week honors.
On the women's side, William & Mary's Jeltje Loomans was named the Player of the Week while the James Madison tandem of Megan Douglass and Ruxandra Andriescu were the Women's Doubles Team of the Week.
The Delaware men's tennis team returns to the court this Thursday as the Hens travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on Norfolk State University at 2 p.m.
