Meet the Hens: Ignacio Mart?n (Men's Soccer)

University of Delaware men's soccer senior Ignacio Martín (La Laguna, Spain/The British School of Tenerife) has been a key member of the Blue Hens defensive unit the past four years.
This season, Martín has guided Delaware to a 10-5-1 overall record while posting a 3-2-1 mark in CAA action.
Martín is one of seven seniors that will be honored this coming Sunday in the team's final regular season home game. Prior to the game the Blue Hens will also formally dedicate Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium following completed renovations to the first-class athletics facility.
1. What is your major?
Career Aspirations?
International relations with a minor in Latin American and Iberian Studies. I want to become a human rights lawyer.
2. What is your favorite class?
Diplomacy
3. Three words to describe yourself?
Hard-working, creative and sociable
4. Most memorable moment as a member of the Blue Hens?
I have a few. The CAA final against ODU in 2011 when we captured the title, Roberto Giménez's penalty shot vs Northeastern in the playoffs last year and 
John Dineen's goal vs Virginia in the NCAA Tournament in 2011.
5. The best nickname on the team?
Dip, Dip Double Dip for Joe Dipre or MuMu for Tobias Müller.
6. Who is the funniest on the team?
Roberto Giménez, we have a very similar style of humor.
7. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read, lately I have been reading some Chuck Palahniuk, George Orwell or Che Guevara's biography, great reads. I also like to play FIFA14 with my friends and I love watching TV series like Game of Thrones, Sherlock or The Office.
8. Favorite meal?
Nothing like a Spanish Tortilla and some “Pisto” Manchego (a Spanish typical dish from the Castilla La Mancha province).
9. Who is your favorite musical artist?
It really depends on the situation, on the weather, etc, but for right now its Ray Lamontagne.
10. What is your game-day playlist?
Jungle by X Ambassadors, Adentro by Calle 13 and Cinderella Man by Eminem.
11. What's one song or artist on your iPod that nobody would know you had?
Surprisingly, I have Barbie Girl by Aqua, cause life in plastic, is fantastic.
12. If you had one wish, what would it be?
I would wish for the good health of my family members and friends, you can cultivate happiness after that.
13. What superpower would you want, or what superhero would you want to be?
I would love to be able to control time. Stop it, fast forward it and travel back. Batman all the way.
14. What is your favorite vacation spot?
The warm and dry south of my beloved island, Tenerife.
15. Your all-time favorite movie?
The Godfather, because of Coppola and Brando, and the Fight Club, because...Well, the first rule of the Fight Club is you do not talk about the Fight Club.
16. What cartoon character would you be?
Peter Griffin from Family Guy, he cracks me up!
17. Any hidden talents?
The people who know me best say that I am a great writer. They also say that I have some crazy dance moves but I wouldn't trust them too much with that.
18. What are your biggest pet peeves?
I hate it when people chew with their mouth open, but what I absolutely detest is when they post obnoxious and pointless statuses on Facebook. Apart from that I'm pretty chill.
19. Favorite TV show or program?
Eastbound and Down with Danny McBride and the Daily Show.
20. What are three things that are on your bucket list?
Travel to some lost village in Nepal, return to Palestine at some point in my life and write a novel.
21. Favorite toy as a kid?
Power Rangers action figures
22. What is your dream car?
Nothing too ostentatious. As long as it takes me from A to B, I don't really care.
23. Favorite professional sports team? Favorite athlete?
Real Madrid. Sergio Ramos, Center Back for Real Madrid.
24. Who is your favorite actor/actress?
Leonardo DiCaprio
25. Any superstitions?
I always look towards the sky before stepping on a soccer field.
26. If you could have a dream date, what would it be?
I'm a simple guy, nothing like a hot cup of coffee and some conversation to get to know someone, and if it is in company of Charlize Theron, even better!
27. What is your favorite book?
Right now, Choke by Chuck Palahniuk and the whole series of A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin.
28. What is your worst habit?
I tend to be extremely stubborn when I get into an argument with someone.
29. Give a talent that you would most like to have.
I'd love to be capable of playing any musical instrument, especially the Spanish guitar. I would also love to be able to sing.
30. Who would you like to trade places with for the day?
I would like to trade places with President Barack Obama, but no more than a day because I would end up locked up in some sort of mental asylum.
