Delaware Swimming and Diving Travel to UNCW for CAA Pod Meet

The Delaware men's team (1-1) and women's squad (3-0) will face UNCW, James Madison, and William and Mary in the pod meet.
John HaymanThe women's team is coming off a victory over George Mason Saturday. The UD women tallied first place finishes in eight races Saturday. Brittany Lazear and Alyssa Sanders had a team-high three wins each. Lazear was victorious in the 1000 Free, 500 Free and was a part of the winning 200 Free Relay squad. Sanders finished first in the 100 Back, 200 Back, and, like Lazear, was part of the winning 200 Free Relay team.
The women's team excelled on the diving board Saturday as Caitlin Stockwell, Lize Keefer, and Kristina Congdon finished first, second, and third respectively in the three-meter diving competition. The Blue Hens also swept the top three in the one-meter diving competition.
The men's team suffered its first defeat to the Patriots Saturday, but still put forth some solid showings. Alex Hillsley led the Blue Hens with three first place finishes Saturday. The sophomore was first to touch in the 100 Back, 200 Back, and was a part of the victorious 200 Free Relay.
Everett Albert added wins in the 200 Free and, like Hillsley, was a member of the winning 200 Free Relay. Patrick McCann swept both diving competitions, as the junior won both the three-meter and one-meter diving events.
The pod meet will be a two-day event with day one beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Day two's events will commence at 10 a.m. Sunday. Both days of competition will take place at UNCW's Seahawk Natatorium
