Delaware Athletics Announces Hiring of Frantzer Le Blanc as Assistant AD for Facilities

NEWARK, Del. -- Frantzer Le Blanc, who has worked in the areas of athletics facilities and operations for the last 10 years, has been named to the new position of assistant athletics director for facilities at the University of Delaware.
Le Blanc, who comes to Delaware after serving the last six years at Hofstra University, will work closely with UD Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects Joe Shirley and Associate Athletics Director for Operations and Events Alicia Greco-Walker in overseeing all UD athletics facilities and event operations.
“I would like to thank (Delaware Director of Athletics) Eric Ziady and Joe Shirley for this outstanding opportunity,” said Le Blanc. “I am extremely excited to join the athletics staff and become a part of the Blue Hens family. I have always admired Delaware's rich athletic tradition and feel very fortunate to be a part of it now.”
A native of Philadelphia, Le Blanc earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from Temple University in 2004 and went on to earn his master's degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Wagner College in 2007.
“We are excited to have Frantzer join our athletics family here at the University of Delaware,” said Shirley. “He has an extensive background and knowledge in the areas of athletics facilities and operations which will serve him well here at Delaware. He did an outstanding job at Hofstra University over the last six years and we are fortunate to have him as a Blue Hen.”
Following his graduation from Temple, Le Blanc began his career at American University in Washington, D.C. where he served as an athletics business, marketing, and compliance intern before taking over a full-time position there as assistant facility and operations manager and travel coordinator.
He moved on to Wagner University in Staten Island, N.Y. and worked there for three years as director of operations and outside facilities while earning his master's degree. While at Wagner he served as a project manager, managed the upkeep of all outside fields and facilities, and served as a game management officials for all Wagner home events involving the Seahawks' 22 NCAA Division I varsity sports.
Le Blanc moved on to Colonial Athletic Association member Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. in March, 2007 and served as assistant director for athletics facilities for six years before coming to Delaware. While at Hofstra, he oversaw all custodial, electrical, and maintenance work for Shuart Stadium and Marigotta Field House, supervised and served as project manager for numerous facility enhancements, including installation of two FieldTurf fields, a sound system, scoreboards, transformation of offices, and renovations to Hofstra lacrosse offices, buildings, and lockerrooms. He also organized and managed all aspects of game operations and oversaw equipment room operations.
Le Blanc and his wife, Mously, reside in Philadelphia with their son, Micah.
