NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware baseball team's first game of the annual Liberty Bell Classic scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, at Temple has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
The two teams will now open the Liberty Bell Classic next Tuesday, April 1, at 3 p.m. The game will be played on-campus at Bob Hannah Stadium if renovations to the complex are completed by then. If they are not, the game will be played at Temple's field located in Ambler, Pa.
Should Delaware win and advance, the team's second round Liberty Bell Classic game would be played on Monday, Apr. 8 at Bob Hannah Stadium if renovations are completed.
Delaware (10-12) will open Colonial Athletic Association this weekend when the Hens travel to William & Mary for games on Friday, Mar. 28 (7 pm), Saturday, Mar. 29 (4 p.m.), and Sunday, Mar. 30 9 (1 p.m.).
