Delaware Takes on Towson in Final Home Meet Saturday

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Colonial Athletic Association foe Towson Saturday in the Blue Hens' final home meet of the season. John Hayman

UD's matchup with Towson will mark the final home meet for seniors Tim Ware, Tim West, Brian Wilson, Lauren Ahrens, Laura Askin, Brittany Lazear, Calli Marando, and Maggie Tracy.

Saturday's meet between the Tigers and Blue Hens is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the University of Delaware's Rawstrom Natatorium.

Hen Scratchings

·      Saturday will be the first home meet since Delaware hosted La Salle and Rider on Nov. 8.
·      Kristina Congdon and Cory Camp received CAA accolades following their performance last weekend as Congdon was named CAA Women's Diver of the Week, while Camp was selected CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week.
·      Camp was also named the Corvias ECAC Men's Division I South Co-Swimmer of the Week.
·      The UD men last defeated Towson in 2013, while the women have not beaten the Tigers since 2006.
·      The Delaware women moved their record to 8-2 and 4-2 in the CAA as they swept Drexel and Northeastern in a dual meet last weekend.
·      The men's squad dropped last weekend's meet against Drexel and have compiled a record of 2-5 and an 0-3 conference record.
·      After Saturday's meet, the Blue Hens will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Iona for a dual meet with the Gaels and St. Peter's Sunday.
