Patrick McCann Named CAA Diver of the Week

McCann (Annandale, Va/Annandale) tallied three victories last weekend on his way to receiving the diver of the week honors for the first time this season. In Saturday's meet against Towson, the junior was victorious in the 1 – meter diving event with a score of 283.80. McCann also registered a second place finish in the 3 – meter competition with a score of 276.52.
On Sunday, McCann had another strong outing as the junior swept the diving events in a tri-meet with St. Peter's and Iona. McCann won the 1 – meter event with a score of 312.00, which is the highest score for Delaware in the event this season. He then backed that performance up by winning the 3 – meter event with a score of 273.45.
In addition to McCann, Matt McKenney of Towson was awarded CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week, fellow Tiger Macey Arnold was selected CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week, and James Madison's Taryn McLaughlin was named CAA Women's Diver of the Week.
The Blue Hens will return to action Saturday as Delaware travels to Philadelphia to take on Penn in its final regular season meet of the season.
