Blue Hens Continue Pool Action Saturday at Home vs. George Mason

NEWARK, Del. -- Coming off season-opening wins over Georgetown and St. Francis (Pa.) back on Oct. 3, the University of Delaware men's and women's swimming & diving teams will return to action Saturday when they host George Mason.
The men's and women's action will get underway at 1 p.m. at Rawstrom Pool at Rawstrom Natatorium. Admission is free.
The Blue Hens men (1-0) are coming off a 180-118 victory over Georgetown as junior Alex Hillsley won the 100 backstroke (52.89), 200 backstroke (1:53.62) and 200 IM (1:54.88) and Patrick Savidge captured the 200 freestyle (1:43.68) and 200 breaststroke (2:10.50).
The Delaware women (2-0) opened the season with a sweep over Georgetown (190-109) and St. Francis (219-73) as senior Dominique Montoya paced the team with victories in the 200 freestyle (1:54.58), 100 freestyle (52.96) and 500 freestyle (5:10.93).
Alyssa Sanders won her races in the 100 backstroke (58.07) and 200 backstroke (2:06.16). Kristina Congdon was the other multiple event winner for the Blue Hens, as she captured the 1-meter diving with a 294.30 score and the 3-meter diving with a 301.35 total.
