Gameday Attire
Fans are encouraged to wear PINK or RED to the game in support of women's health awareness.
The color red represents strength, joy and power and during American Heart Month in February, it symbolizes the fight against heart disease in women. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, taking more lives than all forms of cancer combined. But we have the power to save lives – our own, our mother's, daughter's and friend's. Now is the time to stand together, to fight harder, to shout louder. Now is the time to Go Red. Go Red For Women is a movement that is by women for women. For details, click here.
The color pink is in honor of WBCA Play 4 Kay breast cancer awareness initiative - a nation of coaches raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer, and it is the most common cancer among American women, other than skin cancers.
