Pairings Set for CAA Men's and Women's Tennis Championship

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware men's and women's tennis squads learned their fates for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championships, which will be held April 16-19 at the Millie West Tennis Facility and Commons Tennis Facility on the campus of the College of William & Mary.
The Blue Hens women, the No. 8 seed, will open tournament play at 10 a.m. Thursday with first-round action against ninth-seeded Hofstra. Delaware (5-8, 1-5 CAA) defeated the Pride (12-4, 0-3 CAA), 6-1, this past Saturday at home as a part of Senior Day.
Should UD advance, the Hens will face top-seeded William & Mary at 9 a.m. Friday in the quarterfinals. The winner moves on to Saturday's 10 a.m. semifinal contest and the CAA women's championship match is set for 10 a.m. Sunday.
The men's championship starts Friday afternoon as the Blue Hens (0-15, 0-2 CAA) take on top-seeded UNCW (10-7) at 3 p.m. The winner will advance to Saturday's semifinal contest against No. 4 College of Charleston or No. 5 James Madison. The CAA men's championship is slated for 2 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is free to all four days of the championship, with both champions earning automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.
