Delaware Track & Field Adds Swarthmore Final Qualifier Meet to Schedule May 11

SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- The University of Delaware women's outdoor track & field squad, fresh off a solid fourth place showing at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships this past weekend, has added another meet to its 2015 schedule.
In an effort to give student-athletes one more opportunity to qualify for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships later in May, Delaware has added an appearance at the Swarthmore (Pa.) University Final Qualifier Meet set for Monday, May 11, at 4 p.m. at Walter T. Skaller, Jr. Track.
All events will be held at Swarthmore except for the hammer throw, which will take place at 1 p.m. at Widener University in Chester, Pa.
Expected to compete for the Blue Hens at Swarthmore are Melissa Mazzo (3,000 meter steeplechase), Betsy Erlanger (1,500m), Ilana Schnaufer (1,500m), Gabrielle Alaimo (1,500m), Shanel Dickens (800m), Erin McCloskey (1,500m), Tyler Jackson (200m), Breanna Nicholson (400m hurdles), Leslie Ope (100m hurdles; 400m hurdles), Kelsey Evancho (high jump), Anisa Fortt (long jump; triple jump), Miranda Reinson (pole vault), and Monica Hagenauer (hammer).
The ECAC Championships will be held on May 15-17 at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium. A total of 16 members of the Blue Hens have already qualified for the regional meet.
