Blue Hen Student-Athletes, Staff Interact With Fans at Delaware State Fair

HARRINGTON, Del. – A great day was had by University of Delaware Athletics at the Delaware State Fair on Tuesday.
An estimated 30 student-athletes and spirit team members joined UD Athletics Department staff for a fun-filled day interacting with Blue Hens fans of all ages. Folks had the opportunity to get Movin' with the Blue Hens from 4 to 6 p.m. under the Entertainment Tent free of charge.
Whether hitting around the volleyball, hurdling through the football combine, dribbling a field hockey ball, or hula hooping with track & field team members to the music along with YoUDee, there were smiles all around despite the summer heat.
Student-athletes from UD football, volleyball, women's soccer, field hockey, cross country/track & field, and men's & women's basketball were all on-site to help those in attendance be active on Kids' Day at the fair.
The UD cheerleaders kept the prize wheel and Group Ticket Sales Raffle busy as fans waited to win exclusive Blue Hens giveaways and Delaware Football game tickets for the upcoming 2015 season.
Following the programming, the Blue Hens were showcased in the evening parade throughout the fairgrounds before having some fun on the Midway rides.

Additionally, Delaware Football season and group tickets are currently on sale. The $44 Triple Option Mini Plan and single game tickets will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, August 1 online at www.BlueHens.com. In-person and phone sales will be available on Monday, August 3 at the Delaware Ticket Office.
