Blue Hen Fridays Celebration Returning to Delaware Campus for Each Home Football Game this Fall

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware campus will once again be rocking with spirit, excitement, and Blue Hen pride as the popular “Blue Hen Fridays” celebrations return for all home football weekends this fall.
The celebrations will begin this coming Friday, Sept. 4, when the Blue Hens open the 2015 season by hosting Jacksonville (Fla.) University at Delaware Stadium. Blue Hen Fridays will continue on Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Oct. 23, Nov. 6, and Nov. 13.
On the Friday of each home game, University of Delaware cheerleaders, dance team members, and mascots YoUDee and Baby Blue will take over an area on campus and provide students, faculty, staff, and fans giveaways and gameday information while providing plenty of spirit and excitement with cheers and stunts and photo opportunities with the Hen Hype crew. All University of Delaware students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear Delaware blue and yellow all day each Friday in support of the Blue Hens.
“The UD Spirit Teams are excited to kickoff home football weekends with Blue Hen Fridays,” said University of Delaware Athletics Spirit Coordinator and Head Cheer Coach Rob Ellery. “We look forwarding to seeing everyone in their Delaware gear throughout the fall as we get ready to cheer the Blue Hens on to victory.”
Among the campus locations each week will be The Green, Main Street, Trabant Student Center, Perkins Student Center, and dining halls, including the Caesar Rodney Dining Hall.
