Delaware (4-3), coming off a 6-1 win over Brown on Sunday, won its second straight game and posted its second shutout of the season. Princeton (2-3) dropped its third straight game after opening the season 2-0.

Blue Hen junior goalkeeper Kailyn Rekos (Groton Dunstable/Groton, Mass.) recorded her second shutout of the season as she turned away four shots.

Hen Scratchings
• Delaware and Princeton faced each other for the first time since 2000 when the Tigers posted a 3-0 victory. The teams have now each won two games in the four-game series
• The Hens are now 2-0 vs Ivy League teams this season after going 0-2 vs. the Ancient Eight in 2014
• Delaware will return to action this Sunday, Sept. 13, when the Hens George Washington at 3 p.m. in the second game of a men's/women's doubleheader at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium.
