SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to Saturday's contest against the College of Charleston, Delaware will honor Thomas de Villardi, Paul DeFeo, Guillermo Delgado, Dani Laguna, Jaime Martinez, Ben Sampson, Marco Siverio and senior student athletic trainer Courtney Taylor.
LAST TIME OUT ⚽️
Marco Siverio posted the first goal of the game, but James Madison responded with two unanswered tallies Wednesday evening en route to a 2-1 victory over Delaware at Sentara Park. Siverio registered his first career goal in the 35th minute off a volley off the post from a deflected throw. The Dukes tied things just three minutes in to the second half as Billy Metzler collected his first goal of the season while Brennen Burton recorded the game-winner in the 82nd minute. Sivero led all players with three shots while Guillermo Delgado and Dani Laguna notched two apiece. Todd Morton stopped four JMU shots while his older brother, Kyle, picked up three between the pipes for the Dukes.
HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
· With two tallies at Penn, Guillermo Delgado holds 45 career goals and is just two behind Mike Biggs' program record 47 set from 1968-70. The three-time All-American is currently the NCAA's active career leader with 107 points and 45 goals.
· Mike Biggs will be in attendance at Saturday's game.
· Ben Sampson was named as a candidate for the Men's Soccer Senior CLASS Award.
· The Blue Hens were recognized by the NSCAA as a College Team Academic Award recipient for the 2015-16 academic year.
· UD has outshot opponents, 191-107, so far this year.
· Delaware is currently second in the CAA with nine points.
· With an assist against Hofstra, Delgado now sits alone in second place in program history with 17 career helpers. Mark Haggerty (1983-85) holds the all-time career mark of 18.
· Jaime Martinez is tied for seventh place in program history with 13 career assists alongside Dan Keane (1998-01), Ken Whitehead (1980-82) and Chris Donahue (1973-76).
· Guillermo Delgado, Thomas de Villardi and Thibault Philippe garnered Preseason All-CAA accolades.
· Guillermo Delgado, a three-time All-American, was one of 28 men nationally named MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
· Guillermo Delgado, Thibault Philippe and Ben Sampson once again serve as the team's captains in 2016.

SERIES INFORMATION 💪

· In the first-ever meeting, and the last matchup in Newark, the Blue Hens defeated the Cougars, 1-0, on October 13, 2013 behind a goal from Guillermo Delgado.
· Last season, Delgado and Jaime Martinez guided the Hens to a 2-0 victory over CofC in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
· Ralph Lundy (Western Carolina '76) continues to build his legacy at the College of Charleston as he is in his 30th year as the head coach of the Cougars and 41st overall. Lundy is 305-245-44 during his tenure at CofC and 435-316-57 overall, a mark that currently ranks fourth in victories amongst active Division I coaches.
ABOUT COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON
The Cougars were predicted to finish sixth out of nine teams in the CAA preseason coaches poll and are currently 3-5-2 overall and 1-1-2 in league play so far this season. With five points, CofC is tied for fourth in the CAA standings. Nicolas Jeausseran and Nico Rittmeyer each lead the Cougars with five points on two goals and an assist. Kevin Shields has played all 947 minutes in goal for Charleston and has posted a 1.52 goals allowed average with 51 saves at a clip of .761.
