STORYLINES
• Delaware wraps up play at the Tarkett Sports Classic with a 12 noon game vs. Austin Peay.
• Today's game concludes a busy stretch to open the season that has seen the Blue Hens play six games in 10 days, the final five on the road. Starting tomorrow, Delaware will play just three games in the next 26 days.
• Like Miami (Ohio) and Northern Kentucky, Delaware will be facing Austin Peay for the first time in school history this afternoon.
• Today's game is just the Blue Hens' second in school history against a team currently in the Ohio Valley Conference. Delaware dropped a 67-48 contest at Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 14, 1983.
• This afternoon's game is Delaware's first against a team from the state of Tennessee since the Blue Hens lost to Middle Tennessee State, 73-69 in overtime, on Dec. 22, 2004 at the San Juan Shootout in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
• Delaware suffered its worst offensive output of the season Saturday vs. Northern Kentucky, as UD posted season-lows of 53 points, 16 field goals made, a 30.2 field goal percentage, and an 18.8 three-point percentage. The Blue Hens also handed out just five assists while turning the ball over 16 times.
• Ryan Daly and Cazmon Hayes each led the way with 13 points, while Anthony Mosley was the third Blue Hen in double figures with 11 points. Hayes also grabbed a team-leading eight rebounds.
• Hayes has reached double figures in four of five games this season including three straight, while Mosley scored in double digits for the fourth consecutive contest.
• Daly reached double figures for the second time in his young career, and in both games did the majority of his damage in the second half. Daly scored 17 of his 19 points at La Salle in the second period, and scored all of his 13 points against Northern Kentucky in the final 20 minutes.
• Northern Kentucky held a 48-37 rebounding advantage over the Blue Hens, the first time this season Delaware lost the battle of the boards. UD stil holds a +7.8 rebound margin through its first five games of the year.
• Delaware has led at the half during all five games this season, although in two of them (La Salle and Northern Kentucky) the margin was just a single point.
• The Blue Hens continue to struggle from the three-point line, hitting just 22 of 86 shots from behind the arc for a 25.6 percentage. UD opponents aren't faring much better, going 35 of 128 for a 27.3 percentage.
