• For the second consecutive season, the Blue Hens kick off their Colonial Athletic Association schedule against Hofstra on New Year's Eve.
• Delaware is 1-4 during games on New Year's Eve, including last year's 90-80 loss to the Pride in Hempstead.
• The Blue Hens are 8-7 in CAA openers, but have lost their last two conference openers. Delaware is 11-4 in CAA home openers, with two straight defeats.
• Delaware clinched a winning non-conference record and remained perfect at home this year with Wednesday's 63-54 win over Iona.
• The Blue Hens became the 11th Division I team to equal or surpass its win total from last season.
