Blue Hens to Play Two Intrasquad Scrimmages this Weekend

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware baseball fans can get an early look at the 2016 baseball squad this weekend when the Blue Hens take part in two instra-squad scrimmages on the turf at Bob Hannah Stadium.

Come out and get a sneak peak at the Blue Hens, who are wrapping up their first month of preseason drills in preparation for the 2016 opener when Delaware heads to Stetson in DeLand, Fla. for a three-game set on Feb. 19-21.
Delaware, which was selected sixth in the Colonial Athletic Association preseason coaches poll announced last week, are coming off a 26-24 mark in 2015 when the squad advanced deep into the CAA Tournament.
The Hens are led on the mound by preseason All-CAA pick Ron Marinaccio and by the big bat of sophomore third baseman Diaz Nardo, who earned CAA All-Rookie honors a year ago when he batted .281 and led the team in home runs and RBI.
