Delaware will be looking to make it three straight wins when the Blue Hens open a non-league four-game home series vs. Binghamton University Friday at Bob Hannah Stadium. The Hens will follow with a doubleheader Saturday at 12 noon and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. The Hens are 3-1 at home this season. A win would give Delaware an 8-4 start for the second straight year.
LAST TIME OUT
Five Blue Hens went deep before Delaware held off a late Maryland rally as UD defeated the Terrapins, 10-8, Tuesday afternoon at Harford Community College. Delaware (7-4), which won for the fourth time in five games, knocked off the Terrapins (5-6) for the second time in eight days, along with last Tuesday's 12-7 victory at Bob Hannah Stadium in its home opener. Jordan Glover finished 2 for 3 with a double, homer and two RBI for the Blue Hens, while Doug Trimble was 2 for 5 with a triple, homer and two RBI. Nick Liggett, Calvin Scott and Brian Mayer also went deep as Delaware reached double figures for the third time this season.
