Delaware returns to action at home in an unexpected way this afternoon as the Blue Hens host Delaware State at 3 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium. The game was scheduled to be played in Dover, Del. but due to poor field conditions on the DSU game field, the contest was moved north to Newark. The Hens will be looking to extend their six-game win streak while the Hornets (0-15) still search for their first victory of the season.
LAST TIME OUT
Good things happen when Adam Rapp comes to the plate with the bases loaded. For the second straight day the University of Delaware freshman catcher came up big in a clutch situation as his two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded in the eighth inning brought home the winning run in a 5-4 victory over Binghamton Sunday at Bob Hannah Stadium. The victory extended the Delaware win streak to six games and helped the Blue Hens (11-4) sweep the four-game series from the Bearcats (2-12).
