STORY LINE
The red-hot Blue Hen baseball squad (12-4) takes the field for the second straight day on Wednesday as they put their seven-game win streak on the line against at Bryant (9-4) team that already has wins over Big 10 foes Maryland and Penn State and perennial Top 25 contenders Kentucky and San Diego State this spring. The Hens' seven-game win streak is their longest since a 13-game during the 2013 campaign.
LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hens got contributions throughout the lineup and freshman Cole Benjamin picked up his first collegiate victory on the mound as Delaware ran its win streak to seven games with an 8-3 victory over Delaware State Tuesday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Dover but poor field conditions forced the move north to Newark. Leftfielder Jordan Glover, first baseman Nick Patten, and third baseman James Meeker each knocked in two runs as part of a 10-hit attack and Benjamin went five solid innings without allowing an earned run as the Blue Hens (12-4) continued their best start since the 1998 season.
