Hillman Sets Discus Mark as Hens Win Team Title at Season-Opening VCU Ram Invitational

Three Delaware freshmen also picked up victories in their first collegiate outdoor debuts as Lauren Zodl won the 1,500 meters in 4:46.20, Ashley Bailey captured the pole vault with a leap of 11-3.75, and Nadia Khoury won the high jump (5-3). Bailey also recorded a runner-up finish in the long jump (17-0.75).
Bailey and Hillman were among the nine second place finishes put in by Delaware athletes on Saturday, a list that included Liz McGroarty in 800 meters (2:19.61), Tyler Jackson in the 100 meters (12.30), Emily Paolucci in the 1,500 meters (4:51.82), Kristina Valko in the javelin (122-0), Jennifer Hineman in the pole vault (9-10), and Tyra Reid in the 400 meters (56.62).
