Delaware Hosts James Madison This Weekend in First CAA Home Series

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware baseball team will play its first home Colonial Athletic Association series of the season this weekend when the Blue Hens host James Madison for three games at Bob Hannah Stadium.
The Blue Hens and Dukes are scheduled to play a single game on Friday at 3 p.m., before 1 p.m. contests on Saturday and Sunday. Live stats will be available for all three games.
Delaware, which has dropped four straight games, enters the weekend with a 16-9 overall record and is 0-3 in the league after getting swept at Charleston last week. James Madison is 11-14 overall this year, and the Dukes won two of three games against Northeastern last weekend in their conference opening series.
The Blue Hens are paced by freshman rightfielder Kyle Baker, who leads the CAA with a .418 batting average this season. Nick Tierno is hitting .333 on the year and carries an eight-game hitting streak into the weekend, while Kevin Mohollen is tied for the league lead with four triples while ranking fifth with 25 runs scored. Jordan Glover also ranks among the CAA leaders, as he is tied for second with 12 doubles and ranks fourth with 24 RBI.
Dukes shortstop Chad Carroll leads the CAA with 42 hits on the year, while ranking second to Baker with a .416 batting average. Kyle McPherson is hitting .319 with team-highs of four home runs and 23 RBI for JMU, while Zach Tondi is posting a .317 average and Adam Sisk has recorded nine doubles.
Friday's pitching matchup will feature Blue Hen righthander Ron Marinaccio (5-0, 2.88 ERA) vs. JMU lefty Aaron Hoover (2-2, 6.17 ERA). UD lefty Brandon Walter (2-3, 3.79 ERA) will face Dukes southpaw Colton Harlow (2-2, 4.99 ERA) on Saturday, while Blue Hen righty Burk FitzPatrick (0-2, 8.13 ERA) takes on JMU righty Brandon Withers (1-3, 6.65 ERA) on Sunday.
