Using NCAA Division II scoring rules, UD picked up two doubles victories and five singles decisions in the win.
Sophomore Colin Wong (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia/SMK Kota Kemuning) notched the first singles victory by defeating Troy Donato, 6-1, 6-0, in the fifth flight.
Alex SweetDelaware clinched the match in No. 4 singles as freshman Blaise Casselbury (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) dropped Lars Kristiansen by a score of 6-2, 6-2.

Earlier in the afternoon, Flematti and Ramkumar paired for an 8-5 win over Kristiansen and Donato in No. 2 doubles while Sweet and senior Tim Puterio (Kingston, R.I./South Kingstown) routed Deimler and Ryan Keffer, 8-5, in the third flight.
The win marked the first for the Blue Hens since March 23, 2014.
“This is great a great win for our players as they have worked too hard and come so close not to get the win. I'm especially proud of our seniors, who have all been through a lot and each contributed to today's victory. We have worked hard for the upcoming matches, so it would be nice to build upon today's successes.”
Alex Sweet and Tim Puterio each have logged a team-best six doubles wins.
