Fandemonium VII Set for May 7 at Delaware Stadium

NEWARK, Del. -- It will be a day filled with family fun and Blue Hens competition at the UD Athletics Complex on Saturday, May 7 when the University of Delaware hosts its annual Fandemonium VII community event.
Delaware fans of all ages are invited to come out and enjoy a full day of free entertainment and root on the Blue Hens on-field. The Fan Zone, located in front of the west main entrance of Delaware Stadium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature numerous family fun activities including free pony rides, inflatable interactives for all ages, live music, food sampling, giveaways, and more.
Blue Hens giveaways at the Guest Relations kiosk in the Fan Zone will be available for the first fans that check in while UDairy Creamery and other food will be available for purchase, along with official Blue Hens merchandise for sale by the UD Bookstore.
Additionally, mimosas, bloody maries and other adult beverages will be available for purchase for fans 21 years of age and older at the Delaware Beer Garden within the Fan Zone footprint for folks to enjoy prior to the games.
Also from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, UD will be hosting its fourth annual Select-Your-Seat event at Delaware Stadium prior to the annual Delaware Football Blue-White spring game. Patrons looking to purchase new season tickets, along with current season ticket holders looking for additional upgrades, relocations or wishing to add additional seats, will be able to do so inside the stadium.
Select seats will be tagged for fans who would like to upgrade, switch sections or purchase season tickets for as little as $70. Ticket Office staff members will be available at the stadium to answer any questions and assist anyone looking to purchase tickets.
Fans interested in learning more about the available hospitality options and group outing experiences for the 2016 football season are invited to stop by the Sales Center in the Fan Zone.
Additionally, Future Hens Club members are exclusively invited to be Helmet Helpers for the UD football team as they take the field prior to the spring game at 11:45 a.m. FHClub members can register in advance by Wednesday, May 4.
Also part of the fun-filled day, the University of Delaware Volleyball Spring Fling will begin at 9 a.m., as the Blue Hens and local volleyball community host their annual grass tournament. All ages and skill levels are welcome, while every team is guaranteed three competitions. T-shirts, prizes and giveaways will all be awarded at the Spring Fling.
The Delaware Athletic Trainers Association 5K Run/1 Mile Walk will begin at 9:45 a.m. from the UD Athletics Complex. Proceeds from the event will help support the Delaware Trainers Association's mission to support programs dedicated to the safety of student-athletes, educate the public on the athletic training profession, and provide athletic training students in Delaware with leadership opportunities. Day of registration on May 7 will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Fans can conclude the day by heading to the UD Softball Stadium to watch Blue Hens Softball face Elon in its regular season doubleheader finale beginning at 12 p.m. or root on Blue Hens Baseball against Elon at Bob Hannah Stadium in their 2nd game of the weekend's 3-game series beginning at 1 p.m.
