Blue Hens Cruise to Franklin & Marshall Invitational Crown; Basch Sets Meet Record

LANCASTER, Pa.-- The University of Delaware swimming and diving programs swept the Franklin & Marshall Invitational Sunday evening at Kunkel Aquatic Center as sophomore Kevin Basch (4:32.48) set the meet all-time mark in the 500 freestyle.
Basch's time is the fourth-fastest mark in school history. Former Blue Hen Corey Camp set the all-time mark (4:24.05) back at the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
The Blue Hens finished 500 points clear of second place on the women's side and won the men's side of the meet by over 400 points.
Senior Chris Dryden won the 200 individual medley Sunday (1:54.77) while sophomore Asher Kiely won the 200 backstroke (1:52.93). Other winners included the men's 400 freestyle relay team (3:07.88).
On the women's side, freshman Audrey Duvall won the 200 individual medley (2:07.20) while fellow freshman Catherine Erwin (5:03.97) won the 500 freestyle. Liddy
Select Delaware swimmers will return to action next weekend (Nov. 29-Dec. 2) at the USS Winter Nationals hosted by Ohio State University.
