Men's Swimming & Diving's Namakonov Earns CSC Academic All-America Third Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Delaware men's swimming & diving's Matvei Namakonov was named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

The senior from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan is the first in program history to win this award multiple times, being named to the third team in 2025 as well.
Â
Namakonov, one of the most prolific swimmers in program history and a four-time NCAA qualifier, has achieved a 3.89 GPA while majoring in physics over his four years at Delaware.
The conference record holder and ASUN championship meet record holder in the 100-breast holds eight school records for the Fightin' Blue Hens. He became the first swimmer to make an NCAA A Final in team history. His 50.49 swim in the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships is the 18th-fastest swim in the 100-breast of all time.

Gavin Currie and Brian McGillen are the only other two that have received this honor outside of Namakonov, who is also a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American.
