NEWARK, Del. -- Kyle Koch has joined the University of Delaware Athletics staff in the new position of associate athletic director for sales and service.
Koch is responsible for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, collaborative, and sustainable sales and service program. This includes the oversight of sports & entertainment sales, ticket sales (premium, season, group, student, and individual
game tickets for all ticketed sports), ticket servicing, and facility rentals.
“Kyle is a terrific addition to our team, leading our sales and service efforts,” said University of Delaware Senior Associate AD for Development and Revenue Generation Jordan Skolnick. “He oversees our ticket office, which includes both the operations and sales teams, our relationship with Aspire, and our sports and entertainment sales. With a strong background in ticketing and having managed external events like the Penn Relays, Kyle was the perfect fit for our team. We couldn't be more excited about having he and his family as a part of the Blue Hen Family.”
Koch previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania as the assistant athletic director for ticket sales and service for nearly three years in 2014-17. While with the Quakers, he coordinated and managed ticket sales and operations for the athletics department, Penn Relays, and outside events.
He also developed strategic plans to increase ticket sales and create new revenue opportunities while also overseeing gymnastics and sprint football as sport administrator.
“I am thrilled about joining the Blue Hens family at the University of Delaware,” said Koch. “It is an exciting time for Delaware Athletics and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the staff. My wife and sons look forward to cheering on the Blue Hens.”
From 2009-13, Koch worked at North Carolina State University as the director of ticket operations, where he was also an athletic ticket office assistant for 10 months in 2007. Koch also served as assistant director of ticket operations at the U.S. Naval Academy Athletics Department in 2007-09. He also previously worked in the ticket offices at Marshall University and Lehigh University.
Koch earned his degree in sport management at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. where he also was a four-year letterwinner for the basketball team and served as captain as a senior. He earned his master's degree from Marshall University in 2006.
He and his wife, Liz, have two sons, Declan and Deacon.
