Delaware Cruises to 7-0 Victory Over George Mason

ELKTON, Md. – The Blue Hens captured their first win of the season Saturday evening as Delaware coasted to a 7-0 win over George Mason at Elkton Indoor Tennis.
The Hens (1-2) swept the team doubles point by scores of 7-5, 6-0, 6-3.
In singles play, freshman Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) earned her second straight win of the season by defeating Sydney Green in top flight action, 6-0, 6-1.
Sophomore Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) followed with a 6-1, 6-1 No. 2 singles victory over Morgan Yang for her third consecutive win of the year.
In the third flight, graduate Denny LaMachia (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) clinched the match by registering the 6-3, 6-0 decision against Scarlett Walston.
Sophomore Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) continued the winning ways with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Olivia Lacy-Thompson in the fifth spot while classmate Annie Jaskulski (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) defeated Rachel Lee, 6-1, 6-2 in the fourth slot.
Junior Amanda Studnicki (Normal, Ill./Normal West) wrapped the evening with the 6-3, 6-7 (6), 10-7 victory against Liz Lowe.
