Men’s Tennis Drops 5-2 Match at Longwood

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Delaware closed out weekend play Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 loss against Longwood at the Mary Washington Tennis Center.
Freshmen Luis Marcano (Kralendijk, Bonaire/Sagemont (Fla.)) and Dominick Perez (Bethesda, Md./Gonzaga College) each collected singles wins for the Hens (1-3).
Marcano posted the 7-5, 6-2 victory over Lachlan Manser in No. 6 singles while Perez registered the 7-6, 1-6, 10-7 decision against Jorge Gomis in the fifth slot.
With the wins, Marcano moves to 6-6 on the year and Perez improved to 7-7.
“We definitely got better this weekend and had some nice singles wins from Dominick and Luis today. Small adjustments need to be made in doubles play and we will learn from this as we prepare for La Salle on Thursday.”
