CAA Championships - Day 1

Blue Hens Kick Off Day One of CAA Championships

The second day of the four-day event will get underway Thursday afternoon, Feb. 23, at 12 p.m., with the finals scheduled for 6 p.m.
Thursday's action features the men's and women's 500-yard freestyle 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle, the 200 freestyle relays, and the men's 1-meter diving.
Day one highlights for the Blue Hens included the men's 200-medley relay team of Asher Kiely, Patrick Savidge, Andrew Woerth, and Tomás Elder placing fifth in a time of 1:30.80 and the women's 800 freestyle relay team of Ellie Jogani, Kristen Bishop, Samantha Marino, and Sarah Braatz placing sixth in a time of 7:29.27.
The UD men's 800-yard freestyle relay and the women's 200-yard medley relay teams were disqualified.
The Delaware men are currently in fifth place while the Delaware women are in seventh place. James Madison leads the men's field with 112 points while William & Mary is atop the women's standings with 80 points.

Delaware Finishers:
5th Place - 200 medley relay (Asher Kiely, Patrick Savidge, Andrew Woerth, Tomás Elder), 1:30.80
Women's Team Standings After Day 1: 1) James Madison - 112; 2) Towson - 98; 3) Northeastern 96; 4) UNCW - 85; 5) Drexel - 76; 6) William & Mary - 66; 7) Delaware - 26.
Delaware Finishers:
6th Place 800-yard freestyle relay (Ellie Jogani, Kristen Bishop, Samantha Marino, Sarah Braatz), 7:29.27.
20th Place - Emma Larson, 3m diving (169.95 points)
