RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior first baseman Mariah Kondravy was named the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Player of the Week on Monday after her clutch performances led the Blue Hens to four wins in five games last week.
Kondravy (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) batted .444 with team-highs of eight hits, three doubles and six RBI as Delaware swept a doubleheader from Villanova last Tuesday before winning this weekend's conference series over Towson.
She posted a hit in Tuesday's 5-4 victory over Villanova, before delivering an RBI double and a two-run walkoff homer during the 6-4 triumph over the Wildcats.
Kondravy had a single in Friday's loss to Towson, and went 2 for 5 with a double and a walkoff single during the 5-4 eight-inning win over the Tigers on Saturday. She then capped her week by finishing with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored in the 4-0 shutout of Towson.
Kondravy has started all 23 games at first base this season for Delaware, batting .292 with team-highs of seven doubles and 18 RBI. She earned her second career CAA Player of the Week award, and her first this season. Kondravy is the second Blue Hen to earn the award in three weeks, along with Anna Steinmetz on Mar. 13.
Delaware, which is now 10-13 overall and 2-1 in league play, returns to action this weekend for a three-game conference series at Drexel.
