CONWAY, S.C. – Delaware men's tennis continued its spring break trip to the south Tuesday with a 7-0 loss to Coastal Carolina at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chanticleers (9-7) picked up the doubles points with wins on the second and third courts before sweeping singles play.
Sophomore Venkatesh Ramkumar (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) forced the lone three-set match of the afternoon before falling to Zak Talic, 6-3, 4-6, 10-2, in the fifth flight.
With the loss, Delaware falls to 6-10 on the year.
“We will take things that we have to improve upon into tomorrow's match against Chowan. We are looking for a more confident approach towards our game. The goals for this trip remain the same as we continue to get better in doubles play while improving our competition level.”
