Delaware Receives Record Number of Applications From Prospective Freshmen

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware received a record number of applications from prospective freshmen: 27,479 students applied for the 2017-18 academic year. This is a 5 percent increase over applications for last fall and marks the first time the University has exceeded 27,000 applications. The applicants represent 48 states and 101 countries.
The University also received the highest ever number of applications from Delaware students, 3,886, up 4 percent from last fall and 25 percent from just three years ago. This includes 3,610 Delawareans who have applied to a bachelor's degree program on the University's main campus and 276 who applied for the Associate in Arts Program offered at UD's satellite campuses.
