· The Blue Hens have moved up one spot to No. 5 in this week's Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches Poll. Delaware (6-1) received 975 points and two first place votes.
· Emmeline Oltmans earned NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week and CAA Player of the Week accolades after leading then-No. 6 Delaware to the victory of then-No. 2 and previously undefeated Penn State. The goalie made eight saves, including a stop on a penalty stroke in the 52nd minute. Oltmans helped the Blue Hens shutout a top-four opponent for just the second time in program history and first in the last 30 years.
· Lisa Giezeman and Kiki Bink notched goals for the Hens while the duo were joined by Lotte de Koning in picking up defensive saves.
· With one assist against the Nittany Lions, Greta Nauck moved into a tie for fourth in program history alongside former teammate Esmée Peet (2013-16) with 120 career points. Nauck is also tied for third all-time in Delaware history alongside Casey Howard (2005-09) with 51 career goals.
· Taylor Lister is tied for third in program history with Michaela Patzner (2013-15) and Erica LaBar (2001-04) with 28 career assists
· Delaware captured the program's first-ever NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in 2016.
· The Hens finished the year with a remarkable 23-2 overall record while outscoring opponents by a margin of 100-39 over the course of the entire season.
· Delaware returns seven starters and 13 letter winners from a season ago while welcoming seven newcomers to the roster.
· The Hens feature a total of seven international players on the roster.
· The four-time defending conference champion Blue Hens were picked as the CAA field hockey favorite for the fourth straight season in the league's preseason poll.
· The 2016 Honda Award winner for field hockey, junior Greta Nauck was tabbed the CAA Preseason Player of the Year while seniors Emmeline Oltmans and Taylor Lister and juniors Kiki Bink and Lisa Giezeman garnered Preseason All-CAA accolades.
· Kayla Devlin and Emmeline Oltmans were chosen as team captains this season.
· Head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof (Fonty's Hogeschool '96) returns for his seventh season at the helm of the Blue Hens and holds an all-time record of 89-46 (.659) at Delaware.
