Hens Receive Strong Performances But Fall in Regular Season Finale at Towson

TOWSON, Md. -- The University of Delaware men's swimming and diving program received strong individual performances from Kevin Basch, Bryce Ciecko
Basch, a two-time Colonial Athletic Association Swimmer of the Week honoree again dominated the distance events winning both the 1000 free (9:32.47) and the 500 free (4:38.27). Just a freshman, Ciecko had his strongest performance of the season, winning the 200 free (1:43.77) and placing second in the 100 free (48.67). Delaware (2-8, 0-4 CAA) Junior Asher Kiely won the 100 back (51.86) and came in third in the 200 back (1:57.11), while senior captain Patrick Savidge won the 200 breaststroke and the 400 IM and came in second in the 100 breaststroke.
Delaware returns to action for the 2018 CAA Championships held Feb. 14-17 at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va.
