Delaware Fans Get A Lyft

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware Athletics announced today a partnership with Lyft that will improve the fan experience at Delaware Stadium and the Bob Carpenter Center. In an agreement with the University's media rights holder IMG College (Delaware-IMG), Lyft becomes the first ever "Official Rideshare Partner of Delaware Athletics."
The partnership is in effect for all Delaware football games at Delaware Stadium, as well as for Blue Hens' men's and women's basketball games and events at the Bob Carpenter Center. "We are excited to welcome Lyft as the Official Rideshare Partner of Delaware Athletics," said Hannah Sirdofsky, Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Engagement. "The partnership will heighten the fan experience by providing easily accessible transportation to and from the many events we host here. We appreciation Lyft's commitment to the Blue Hens community and look forward to working with them as we continually enhance our game-day experience."
Beginning in August, Delaware introduced new rideshare pick-up and drop-off zones for fan convenience. Lyft offers fans another convenient and reliable option to travel to and from Delaware Stadium & The Bob Carpenter Center.
In addition to dedicated pick-up/drop-off locations, Lyft will have visibility at Delaware football and basketball home games, impressions on Delaware's digital media outlets, and will engage fans via on-site activations. Delaware and Lyft will run several incentive programs and giveaways for attendees utilizing the service throughout the year.

As part of the Lyft's partnership with Delaware Athletics, Lyft is a presenting sponsor of "The Barn". A joint initiative between the Athletics Department, the Division of Student Life and partners across the University of Delaware campus, The Barn is a brand-new student tailgate experience unveiled this fall as part of an effort to create inescapable spirit across all of campus.
