Delaware Wraps Up Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND – The University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving programs wrapped up the Magnus Cup on the campus of the Cleveland State University.
Thirteen women's teams competed in the meet with Delaware finishing seventh with a score of 418. Nine men's teams competed and Delaware finished fifth with a score of 497. Akron won the womens meet with 1,592 points and Cleveland State won the men's meet after a 1,871.50.
On the women's side, Mina Feyrer set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.51. She finished fourth after qualifying in the prelims with a then school record of 54.92. Feyrer also finished third in the 200-yard fly after posting a 2:02.31.
Taylor Draganosky finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.81.
Elizabeth Jogani tok a seventh place finish in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.35.
Athena Cimino finished with a time of 24.15 for a 22nd place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in the "C" final.
Gabrielle Acker took a ninth place finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:20.51. That was UD's and Acker's best time of the season.
In women's relays, the team of Amy Nemeth, Elizabeth Jogani, Melissa Manuelli and Anthena Cimino finished 11th overall with a time of 1:36.16 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Amy Nemeth, Taylor Draganosky, Mina Feyrer and Elizabeth Jogani finished sixth in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:47.18.
In diving, Holly Smith scored a 225.30 in the 3-Meter diving event for ninth.
On the men's side, Kevin Basch finished ninth in the "A" final of the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:35.12. That time was UD's best 500-yard free time of the season. Basch took an eighth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.69. Basch's time of 15:47.15 in the 1650 freestyle was good for fourth place.
Asher Kiely finished eighth in the 50-yard freestyle "A" final after a 21.42. That was UD's and Kiely's best 50-yard freestyle time of the season. Kiely also finished 10th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.98. In the 100-yard backstroke, he took home 10th with 52.02.
Andrew Woerth placed sixth in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 23.15.
For the men in relays, Asher Kiely, Brandon Evers, Anthony Mariniello and Andrew Woerth finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:23.83.
