Delaware Captures 65-47 Victory Over Lafayette at FAU Thanksgiving Tournament

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Three Blue Hens scored in double figures while eight total players tallied at least two points Saturday afternoon as Delaware collected the 65-47 victory against Lafayette at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
Sophomore Justina Mascaro led the Hens (3-3) with a career-high 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, including two 3-pointers, to go along with four rebounds.
Junior Bailey Kargo added 13 points while classmate Samone DeFreese contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Redshirt senior Gadson Lefft, who earned her first career start against the Leopards, logged a team-best eight rebounds with five points in 14 minutes played.
Delaware held Lafayette (3-3) to just one field goal in the first quarter and then outscored the Leopards, 17-10, in the third quarter in the win.

· Jasmine Dickey continues to be a consistent threat for the Blue Hens and contributed eight points, seven rebounds and three steals. For the weekend, the freshman averaged 12.5 rebounds and 9.5 points against Bradley and Lafayette and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
· The Blue Hens outscored the Leopards, 21-0, on fast break points.
· Delaware is now 17-12 all-time and have won five of the last six against Lafayette.
· Abby Gonzales and Paris McBride each dished out six assists and combined for a 12-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
· Saturday's game was the final of five games in a nine-day span for the Blue Hens.
