"There are some good things we can take from this match," head coach Sara Matthews said. "I think the group realized when we follow the game plan and execute, we can play with any team in the conference. They are a very disciplined and well coached team, so there is no room for error if we don't play our best. We have a lot to build on this week in practice and I'm looking forward to getting back in the gym with the team."
Â
Bellinger led the way with 12 terminations and hit the double-digit mark for the 11th time this season. She has 25 total kills in conference play this season. Junior Bailey Pearlman recorded seven hammers, while junior Cailey Bracken and sophomore Courtnie Roberts had five. Roberts' five kills were a season-high.
Â
Roberts added 15 assists to her season-high five kills while senior Abby Skryd had nine of her own.
Â
The Blue Hens had 54 team digs, with junior Andie Hanus had 18 digs and also added five assists. Hanus has hit double-digits in every match so far this season and her 18 was her best in CAA play. Nine Blue Hens recorded at least one dig and Bracken and Roberts had eight a piece. Freshman Samantha Davis was one off her career high with seven digs.
Â
UD produced four total blocks. Robertson, Julia Hayes and Pearlman had two blocks each while Roberts and Bellinger each had one.
