COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Blue Hens received two goals from sophomore Lotte de Koning, but the Terps were too much Saturday as No. 12 Delaware fell to No. 3 Maryland, 5-3, at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.

De Koning registered her first goal of the season in the 24^th minute and also notched a penalty stroke in the 51^st minute while classmate Femke Strien tallied Delaware's other goal in the 49^th minute.

Freshman goalie Lizzie Gaebel made her collegiate debut in the 12^th minute and logged seven saves with two goals allowed.

With the loss, Delaware falls to 2-3 on the year.

The Terps (6-0) received goals from five different players as Kelee Lepage led the way with five points on two assists and a score. Noelle Forst collected three saves in the cage.
